Hangul + Romanization + English Translation
neon jeojeulsurog tumyeonghaejineun kkot
You’re a flower that grows more transparent the wetter you become
uri sai huin kkochipi
The white petal between us
huhoero chogchoghaejyeo ga
Become moist with regret
tumyeonghajiman sarajijin anha
Transparent but it doesn’t disappear
boiji anheul ttaen
When obscured from view
apeujirado anhdeonde
At least it doesn’t hurt

algodo jabji mothaneun ge
But being unable to grasp it despite knowing this
jjijeojil deut jugeul deut apeuguna
Hurts as if i’m being torn apart, as if i’m dying
nunmule heumbbeog jeojeobeorini
Now that it’s drenched with tears
bbeonhan nae jalmoseun ijen an boyeo
My obvious mistakes can be seen no longer

a barame heutnallineunguna
Ah, they’re getting scattered by the wind
a iseule jeojeoganeunguna
Ah, they’re growing wetter with dew

koapui kkochipa
Dear petal before me
neon nal sogin jinhan hyanggireul pumgo
Bearing the thick scent that deceived me
geudael chacheul su eobdorog
So that i wouldn’t be able to find you
yeongwonui bange nalgadugo
You imprisoned me in the room of eternity
gansahage saehayahge utgo ittguna
And now you smile guile-fully and snowy white

a barame heutnallineunguna
Ah, they’re getting scattered by the wind
a iseule jeojeoganeunguna
Ah, they’re growing wetter with dew

sigani jina huin kkochipdeuldo
As time passes the white petals, too, will wilt away
tumyeonghaejin geiog eobsi sideureo gagettji
With no memory of having been translucent

a barame heutnallineunguna
Ah, they’re getting scattered by the wind
a iseule jeojeoganeunguna
Ah, they’re growing wetter with dew

sigani jina
Time passes
sigani jina
Time passes
sigani jina
Time passes
sigani jina
Time passes
sigani jina
Time passes
sigani jina
Time passes

t/n - there appears to be a slight distinction between the skeleton flower as a whole and the single petal that comes between it and the speaker. in the first half of the song, the pronoun “it” is referring to the petal.
in the line, “so that i wouldn’t be able to find you (그대), you (넌) imprisoned me in the room of eternity,” the speaker uses two different words for “you.” “그대” is a formal word that would be used to show both love and respect, while “너” is an informal word used to address the petal. this seems to imply that the petal imprisoned the speaker so that he wouldn’t be able to find his lover, who is represented by the whole flower. the petal acts as the antagonist, so to speak, throughout the lyrics.
it’s common for pronouns to be omitted in korean, which is the case for the refrain, “ah, (they’re) getting scattered by the wind / ah, (they’re) growing wetter with dew” – so it’s open to interpretation who or what is actually being referred to in those lines. i added the pronoun that seemed to flow the most naturally.
